Our program is supported by our partners, they are the driving force behind the WCPA experience. Our partners provide various forms of support to our program based on their services.
Western Canada Prep Academy (WCPA) is a first year basketball academy program created to offer athletes an opportunity to pursue post-sec. WCPA will play a 30 game schedule, including local and international (USA) game play. In addition to playing their schedule within Canada, WCPA will be attending some of the largest tournaments and showcases in the Western US including in Battle in the Desert (Phoenix, Arizona) and Tarkanian Classic (Las Vegas, Nevada).
Western Canada Prep Academy (WCPA) athletes will be taking classes at Centre High Campus in Edmonton, Alberta. Centre High Campus is a dynamic high school for fourth and fifth year students wanting to upgrade and explore post-secondary and career pathways. Centre High Campus is a member of the Edmonton Public School Board (EPSB).
MacEwan University Residence and Guest Services are our accommodation provider for academy athletes. MacEwan University Residence is located in downtown Edmonton allowing athletes central lines of access to all academy programs. MacEwan University Residence is offered to our athletes through the academy.
In addition to our WCPA coaching staff we have our athletic development partners at who will be working with our athletes to round out our program with team and individual performance training. They will handle all components of athlete performance and seamlessly operate within our travel schedule to provide our athletes with a consistent strength and conditioning presence to prepare them for university level sport.
Western Canada Prep Academy (WCPA) utilizing facilities via City of Edmonton and Edmonton Area Facilities. We will have access to the various courts to facilitate programming with our home court announcement coming very soon. Our inaugural year we will be training and playing out of one central location for team practices, along with other facilities for skills training and IPP needs.
